MasterCard UK & Ireland appoints new Head of Acceptance

MasterCard UK & Ireland has recently added a new Head of Acceptance in the form of Scott Abrahams.

Abrahams joins MasterCard after previously holding key positions in American Express’ UK based outpost. At AmEx UK, Abrahams served as VP of Client Management UK and General Manager Nordics. His position focused primarily on the travel industry and was responsible for top listed customers such as British Airways, Emirates, Air France and Hilton.

"The UK and Ireland is an exciting and important division for MasterCard. We have huge ambitions to further develop our acceptance footprint and we are delighted to have Scott on-board. His experience working with transit operators and significant UK retailers over the last 15 years will help us drive stronger market relationships and deliver the best possible payment technologies," stated MasterCard UK & Ireland President Marion King in a press release.

The addition of Abrahams to its managerial team will help enable MasterCard’ UK based HQ to further implement and perfect innovative solutions to help make payment acceptance in the UK and Ireland easier, more convenient, and even more secure for both merchants and consumers.
