Fast food giant McDonald’s has partnered with online payment platform DirecPay to offer an online order and payment system.
McDonald’s customers in India now have the option to logon to www.mcdelivery.co.in, order, and pay for fast food delivery with a credit card, debit card, or net-banking. The initiative comes from McDonald’s Indian franchisee Hardcastle Restaurants who has partnered with DirecPay to offer online orders.
Hardcastle Restaurants already offers phone orders, which comes with its own logistical challenges. Offering an online portal where people can choose and order their meals simplifies the process for both the customer and the restaurant. To kick off the new online service Hardcastle Restaurants will be offering online only deals and incentives. Offering online only deals should help gear more customers to ordering online as opposed to over the phone.
“Accepting Payments online provides greater value to our customers. One can see the entire menu, choose from our range of products at ease and avoid wait time on calls. Additionally, customers can avail various existing offers while ordering online and can avoid the hassles of cash on delivery,” added Ranjit Paliath,VP of Business Operations for Hardcastle Restaurants, in a press release.
DirecPay is an Indian payment gateway service and is a subsidiary of TimesofMoney. DirecPay is one India’s first payment solutions and offers integrated gateways for accepting credit and debit cards, net banking, and mobile payments.
Hardcastle Restaurants and DirecPay join other restaurants offering online orders and payments, like as Domino’s Pizza. Currently the service is available to Indian residents of the west and south regions.
