PayPal exec is Clinkle's new CFO

Payment Startup Clinkle names former PayPal executive Mike Liberatore as new CFO.

While not many know exactly what Clinkle is or how the company, led by founder Lucas Duplan, plans on revolutionizing the mobile payment industry, it does seem they are looking at industry leaders to help pave the way to success.

"Mike joins us from a world-class finance organization at eBay, and I'm confident that he's capable of building the same thing here at Clinkle. I expect Mike's extensive domain experience and global tech perspective to help shape our business as we scale," said Barry McCarthy, Clinkle’s chief operating officer.

Liberatore joins Clinkle after being at PayPal where he served as senior director of large enterprise finance and the North America financial planning and analysis (FP&A) group. Prior to that, he was relocated to Singapore where he acted as senior director of finance for Asia-Pacific. Liberatore was employed at PayPal’s mother company eBay where there he was director of corporate FP&A. Liberatore brings with him over 15 years of payment and finance experience.

"The recipe for success in this competitive market of mobile Payments calls for breakthrough technology, an innovative vision, and brilliant leaders, I've found that here at Clinkle, and I'm thrilled to join the team. I look forward to helping them change the payment industry," said Liberatore.
