PCI-SSC breaking down the language barrier with DSS translations

The Payment Card-Industry Security Standards Council (PCI-SSC) announced recently they are now offering PCI Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) and Payment Application Data Security Standard (PA-DSS) 3.0 are now available in nine different languages.

The revision to PCI-DSS in V3.0 emphasizes making payment security a part of everyday activities. Offering guidelines in multiple languages helps with creating a global standard for firms all over the world to follow by.

"It's important that organizations around the globe have the resources they need to protect card data. We're happy to make the PCI Standards available in a number of languages to assist organizations as they work to make payment security part of their business-as-usual practices," said PCI SSC general manager Bob Russo.

The languages offered by the PCI-SSC on its website for PCI materials including the new PCI DSS v3.0 and PA-DSS v3.0 are: Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.
