Pensio is now re-branded as AltaPay

Danish payment service provider Pensio is retooling is current infrastructure and is planning on a re-branding and re-launching the services as AltaPay.

Pensio was founded in 2008 and has seen regular growth over the years with its line of payment solutions. The re-branding and the move to new offices in Copenhagen will help with the firms new global ambitions.

“‘Alta’ means 'high or elevated' in Latin. With our overview of the market we are in a unique position to make the payment processing industry as transparent as possible. Payment reconciliation is the key to the next big surge in eCommerce. The relaunch is to reflect our position as a major global facilitator in this the next era of eCommerce services," CEO and Co-founder Christian Rasmussen explains.

AltaPay will focus on simplifying and streamlining its payment solutions, and will focus on creating what CEO Christian Rasmussen calls “A 'level paying field”.

The AltaPay platform was completely re-worked from what was offered by Pensio, and is primarily focused on offering its customers genuine flexibility and transparency to the world of online Payments and Ecommerce.

"Every single transaction can involve up to seven different parties - each with their own commission rates and fees. That's before you start to account for currency Exchange rates, order tracking, fraud management, etc. You have to deconstruct the whole process to make payments less complicated," said AltaPay’s Chief Technology Officer Emanuel Greisen.
