Global online cash payment solution provider Ukash has partnered with free-to-use mobile payment application firm ZapZap to integrate the voucher system into its mobile offering.
The partnership will enable Ukash customers the ability to use their mobile devices, with ZapZap installed, to load Ukash vouchers. The application will also offer users the ability to view and check their balances when on the move.
Loading Ukash vouchers is simplier than ever. A quick scan of the voucher using a mobile camera loads funds directly to a user’s ZapZap account.
Once loaded, funds can be used wherever ZapZap is supported, as well as offer money transfer options between users and Facebook friends. This marks Ukash’s first foray into mobile Payments , taking a different approach by linking itself to a well-known mobile platform rather than developing an app in-house.
Below is the official Press Release provided by Ukash:
Ukash, the leading online cash payment provider, is partnering with ZapZap , the free mobile payments wallet, to give mobile users the ability to store, manage and spend their Ukash vouchers on the go.
The unique partnership means consumers who don’t want to use debit or credit cards for online transactions can still make the most of mobile transactions. Customers simply download the ZapZap app to their mobile device. In an industry first, customers in the UK, Europe and the Nordics can then scan their Ukash voucher code using their smartphone’s camera and load it into their ZapZap wallet to spend or transfer funds to friends and family without any delay or security concerns.
The free ZapZap app, available for iOS, Android and Windows devices, allows users to send and receive money from any of their mobile contacts, including Facebook friends, and is the first Digital Wallet that gives consumers a stored value and balance of their Ukash funds. It also enables users to send or receive money from contacts anywhere in the world, create Ukash codes for purchases on e-commerce sites as well as utilize the ZapZap MasterCard available through the app.
“Smartphones and tablets are becoming the devices of choice for online transactions for consumers on the go,” explained David Hunter, CEO, Ukash.
And with more and more consumers opting for Ukash, rather than using debit or credit cards for online purchases, this unique partnership with ZapZap means there’s no barrier for consumers who prefer the safety of cash, but want to be part of the online, mobile world.
This latest partnership demonstrates our commitment to making it as easy as possible for Ukash users to access their funds and keep a track of their balance. And with the ZapZap app password protected, consumers can keep cash they have turned into Ukash safe at all times.
“ZapZap is continually developing new partnerships to give consumers the most convenient ways to transact in the online world,” added Jonathan Abratt, Director, at ZapZap. “We are, therefore, delighted to be the first company to allow consumers to load their Ukash code straight into a digital wallet, using their smartphone so that they can make the most of their cash in a flash (or a Zap!). “
Using Ukash via ZapZap allows consumers to keep a stored value of their Ukash to shop online with their Ukash as well as send money to friends or relatives abroad.
