Cloud -based, disruptive payment fraud solution is released by SecureBuy to address Call Center security issues.
While EMV is taking care of point of sale security in strip-malls and service stations, making sure that card users are legitimate card owners, card-not-present environments seem to be far more exposed, using technology that just does not do the trick.
Call-center fraud is a particularly weak spot for e-commerce, with internal and external fraud leaving the merchant responsible for a bucket-load of chargebacks.
Greg Wooten, CEO of SecureBuy comments on the new solution: "We received tremendous input and support for our call center solution; we're confident that we have cracked the code for one of the most difficult environments in dire need of security and protection from payment related data breaches and payment fraud. Engineering a PCI-compliant solution to remove full card data from the call- centers and at the same time provide the most effective internal & external payment fraud solution in the industry was our largest challenge to date."
Given that PCI DSS compliance, among other things of course, requires an uncertified merchant to make certain that credit-card data is not stored on the merchant’s system, a cloud-based storage solution is a noteworthy option for merchants for two reasons: Fraud prevention and PCI DSS compliance.
