SecureBuy has announced that an upgrade on its fraud prevention solution will allows merchants to process orders from blacklists without jeopardizing financial security.
Blacklists within e-Commerce are made up of customers that pose security risks to merchants. They include names, IP addresses, zip codes and countries and are often circulated as “master lists” with fraud prevention services.
SecureBuy has acknowledged that many names on blacklist are of consumers that are not precarious but fall into risky categories, resulting in unnecessary loss of sales for e-merchants.
With SecureBuy 2.0, real-time passive authentication engine, the customer is presented with active authentication and is interrupted only for high risk transactions. 3D Secure (provided by SecureBuy) protects merchants from chargebacks and guards consumers’ personal data from being used by cyber-criminals.
It also has the"3DS Decision Engine" to ensure that the issuing bank accepts the financial liability for the transaction. By checking each transaction to make sure that all necessary response codes are received, issuing banks’ requirements for accepting the liability of the transaction are satisfied and SecureBuy’s added assurance for merchants is provided.
“The merchant doesn’t have to worry about financial loss from a particular transaction because all elevated high risk transactions automatically invoke active authentication (3D Secure.) Why wouldn’t a merchant want to turn their blacklists into new sales revenue or process transactions from other countries without the associated risks?” said Chris Wooten, EVP of Sales.
