USD-to-BTC invoicing service Coinvoice is expanding its offering and is now adding the option to add Bitcoin acceptance through Ecommerce management systems.
The new Ecommerce management software services to benefit from the new venture are Ubercart, Magento, and Woocommerce. A similar move was made by Bitcoin payment processor BitPay with its Shopify integration.
“By offering Bitcoin-to-USD processing, Coinvoice allows merchants to receive either USD or Bitcoin from their customers. This gives merchants the flexibility to accept either fiat currency or cryptocurrency from their customers, which none of the other payment processors currently offer,” said Jacob Yocom-Piatt, CEO of Coinvoice in a press release.
The new add-ons to Ubercart, Magento, and Woocommerce allow existing merchants to easily accept the popular cryptocurrency without dramatically changing the way they currently do business.
“It enables people who want to tap into the bitcoin economy but don’t want to expose themselves to the risks of new technology and market Volatility . A merchant can simply sign up and accept bitcoin, wherever in the world doing business with whomever in the world; that is very powerful.” says Marco Peereboom, Coinvoice CTO.
With the widespread rollout of the new integrated service Coinvoice developed a sandbox to give merchants to option to test the Bitcoin processing option. In the sandbox merchants are given testnet coins to place sample orders.
“I am particularly excited about the Sandbox version of the site since it allows prospective merchants to test the entire site without formally registering,” said Mr.Yocom-Piatt.
