Danish Multi-Asset broker Saxo Bank has just issued an announcement to its clients that the company will be launching its next-generation platform shortly. The name of the new product suite is SaxoTrader GO and it will include a Web version for desktop computers making the solution independent of the operating system used by the customer.
Smart phones and tablets will be supported by the iOS and the Android versions of the new platform. According to the announcement issued by Saxo Bank, the new solution is built from scratch in what is likely to be a radical redesign of the current look and feel of SaxoTrader.
The trading suite is designed to work seamlessly between different devices and its web version will be powered by a newly designed HTML5-based chart. The charting solution is a fully interactive chart across mobile devices and desktops and will support trading from the chart.
The account management system has also been redesigned and will be detached from the platform into a separate portal named βMy Accountβ. The functionality of the interface has been changed, making the user experience simpler and more efficient.
The new mobile apps complementing the SaxoTrader GO suite will feature push notifications and alerts on iOS, while Android devices using 4.1+ version of the operating system will get widgets. Further details will be provided by the company in the coming months.
While the company doesn't mention it in its announcement, an integration of the firm's Tradingfloor.com portal into the platform could also be part of the new user experience. Saxo Bank's existing platform has been long overdue for a radical redesign, however the multi-asset offering which the Danish broker is providing is part of a complex system, making the transition to a new platform a lengthier process.
