MetaQuotes has just announced the changes in its latest build of the MetaTrader 5 platform. The company details that the client terminal will provide significantly faster operation of the Strategy Tester module, which is designed to help traders backtest their Expert Advisors (EAs).

The changes made to the Strategy Tester module result in significantly lower time spent on preparatory operations and much lower network latency. The company explains in its announcement that testing and optimization in all modes are also faster, regardless of whether the software is working with local testing agents, with a farm of agents in local network or using the MQL5 Cloud Network.

In addition, the MQL5 Cloud Network will now be displayed in the Agents Manager allowing users to check if they can receive tasks from the cloud computing network after they install new agents.

Another change concerns the Navigator window, which displays the list of Expert Advisors running on the active trading account. Next to the name of the EA, there is a chart on which it runs while an additional icon indicates whether trading is enabled for the particular EA.

The new build also fixed a number of bugs and errors, optimizing the overall user experience of the client terminal. The interface of MetaTrader5 has now been fully adapted to be used on a 4K display.
