In what is the first major sports sponsorship deal for the industry in 2019, EverFX reached an agreement with Spanish Sevilla FC. The Cyprus-based company is going to also get acmes to LED displays on the football pitch during home games as well as online and digital media exposure.
EverFX signed a deal until the end of the current football season in Europe with an option to extend the validity into next year. The financial details of the sponsorship agreement remain confidential.
Sevilla FC is one of the most successful football clubs in Spain. It is currently holding third place in La Liga ahead of Real Madrid. Last season, the team finished second and reached the UEFA Cup’s quarterfinals before losing to Bayern Munich.
The deal was signed earlier this week, and the website of Sevilla has already been updated with the EverFX logo.
Post-ESMA Marketing Books
The deal is a major step for the brokerage company which is committing new capital to boost its brand. The industry’s initial shock from the new ESMA regulations appears to be slowly dissipating, and companies are recommitting to marketing spending.
Commenting on the deal, the CEO of EverFX, Georgios Karoullas said: “This is an agreement we’re equally proud and excited about. From scouting players and nurturing young talent, to winning on the highest level, Sevilla FC have set the standard for excellence both on and off the football pitch.”
“EverFX wants to share and amplify everything this great football club stands for and we’re happy to embark on this journey with such an elite team,” the CEO of the company added.
Sponsorship deals have been traditionally one of the main ways for Forex brokers to boost their brand’s profile. While last year new sponsorship deals have somewhat declined into the new ESMA regulatory framework, this year the trend could reemerge with a bang.
