The Chelsea Football Club has announced that CWM FX is its new "online Forex trading partner." According to the announcement by the famous English soccer team, the deal will run until 2018 and see CWM FX develop its presence across Chelsea’s digital media channels with a series of cross-promotional and marketing activities.
Adrian New, Chelsea FC Managing Director of Asia Pacific, said: "We are delighted to welcome CWM FX on board with us. Our goal is to partner companies which share our philosophy of innovation while consistently competing at the highest level and we look forward to a fruitful relationship."
Sports Sponsorship is nothing new for forex and binary brokers. Over the past year we have seen more brokers focus on partnerships with soccer teams as a way of raising their brand. With this deal for example, CWM FX will be able to use the Chelsea Club’s worldwide appeal offering its customers branded trading incentives.
Anthony Constantinou, CEO of CWM FX, commented:"CWM FX and Chelsea FC are both leaders in their respective fields. Our partnership emphasises the synergies between football and trading where preparation and execution are keys to success . We are very proud to be partnering with Chelsea and look forward to the coming years."
CWM FX is said to be located in London, according to the announcement from Chelsea, but the broker is regulated in Cyprus based on the license of Leverate Financial Services. The broker is also operated by Leverate since its launch in October 2014. This move seems to show that the people behind the technology developer are changing focus to target retail clients directly with a branded broker of themselves.
