After being awarded 'Best Product for Traders' at the 2015 Finance Magnates London Summit, DirectFX Trading and DriveWealth have officially launched exchange-listed US equities and futures trading on the popular MetaTrader 4 Trading Platform .
The offering is a result from a partnership between DriveWealth, Direct FX Trading Pty Ltd and oneZero Financial Systems. The platform will utilize technology from oneZero to offer the US listed equities and DriveWealth will enable futures, FX, CFDs and binary options.
Commenting on the revamped offering, the CEO of Direct FX, Joe O’Mara, said: “Our clients really appreciate having access to true exchange-traded equities and futures on the world’s most trusted exchanges such as the NYSE, NASDAQ and CME.
“As our clients become more sophisticated, they are diversifying into other non-Forex products such as Equities and Futures as part of a global investment portfolio. Integrating these products into MT4 provides traders from around the globe access to these diverse investment products on a trusted, familiar platform.”
Enabling the use of expert advisers that are designed on MT4 to trade futures, stocks and ETFs could open new doors for retail investors.
The company is joining a growing trend amongst foreign exchange brokers which provide access to a multitude of asset classes. While the enabling of CFDs on stocks via MT4 has already been pioneered by some brokers in the industry, Direct FX is the first one to offer direct access to shares trading.
Clients who are willing to trade equities will have to open a US brokerage account via DriveWealth.
Commenting on the technological aspect of the offering, the CEO of oneZero, Andrew Ralich, said: “We have seen global demand for access to equities and futures markets via a well-recognized trading platform like MetaTrader4. The performance, stability and flexibility of our Hub solution, alongside the execution and clearing facilities provided by our partners in this project, represents a unique value proposition for retail brokers.”
