Sports sponsorship is always a preferred marketing technique for trading companies, but hardly anyone has signed as many deals as eToro. Announced on Thursday, the Israeli broker has renewed its sponsorship deal for another year with an English football club, Southampton FC, popularly known as Saints.

The official confirmation came when eToro partnered with multiple other football clubs, including Aston Villa and Newcastle United, all of which are now playing in the country’s top football league, the English Premier League.

eToro and Southampton first inked a partnership deal in 2018, making the latest one their fourth year together. The broker will retain its status as the club’s ‘Official Partner’ for the 2021-22 game season.

“We are delighted to be renewing our relationship with eToro, a recognized leader in the financial industry,” said David Thomas, Southampton’s Chief Commercial Officer. “At Southampton, we’re committed to technology and innovation, and as such, we’re excited to continue where we left off with a valued partner.”

Presence on the Football Field

While most of the companies ink only one or a very few sports deals in a year, eToro believes in bulk deals. The broker has been partnering with multiple sports teams for several years now as it is pushing for brand recognition.

Furthermore, the marketing tactic seems to be working ahead of its public listing on an American Stock Exchange . Recently, the broker disclosed its financials for Q2 of 2021, showing a massive jump in its revenue and income.

“It is great to be extending our partnership with Southampton for a fourth season, which shows our ongoing commitment to the club,” eToro Global Sponsorship Manager, Dylan Holman, said. “We look forward to creating new fan activations which bring them closer to the action, along with continuing to help educate people on investing.”
