AvaTrade, a retail foreign exchange (FX) and CFD broker, announced on Tuesday that it has teamed up with Friedberg Direct to give Canadian residents access to AvaTrade’s trading platforms.
Friedberg Direct is part of one of Canada’s oldest dealers, Friedberg Mercantile Group Ltd. Under the agreement, Friedberg has licensed AvaTrade Technology. This means the company will provide access to AvaTrade’s multiple trading platforms, mobile app, and customer support.
Through Friedberg Direct, residents of Canada will be able to trade a broad range of CFDs. These include metals and other commodities, stock, indices, currency pairs, stocks. ETF-based CFDs, US, Japanese, and European government bonds/treasures and vanilla options on Forex pairs will also be available.

Founded in 2006, AvaTrade has grown to have an international presence. The firm has 16 offices across the world, with its headquarters in Dublin, Ireland. At present, the broker operates under six regulators across the European Union, Japan, Australia, South Africa, BVI, and the Middle East.
