Japanese brokerage Gaitame has just released its latest set of figures for November 2016. This month the company has once again continued on its upward trend in terms of acquiring new clients this year, with a steady increase in accounts resulting in a total of 434,077 reflecting an additional 2,222 new clients for the month of November .
Trading Volume
According to the published data, Gaitame’s traders brought in $285 billion worth of transactions during the month. The figure highlights an impressive increase in the trading volume during November compared with last month’s $166.9 billion, or 77.6 percent, and a YoY rise of 81.9 percent compared with figures of $156.6 billion recorded in November 2015.
As seen over the previous months, Gaitame has recorded a mixed set of data. While the company continues to expand its client base, monthly transaction volumes have been somewhat mixed, marked by a series of ups and downs with no sign as yet of an ongoing upward trend. This pattern falls in line with what has been generally seen in the industry this past year, to some degree perpetuated by the series of high-profile global economic and political events which have occurred.
Deposits
In terms of the group’s deposit totals in November 2016, Gaitame disclosed figures of $961 million, exhibiting a decline of -1.18 percent, still not managing to head back in the direction of last May’s figures which have so far been the highest for the year.
Nonetheless, November has delivered Gaitame with strong trading volumes, reversing the slump seen last month and boasting the highest figures seen since February this year.
