GemForex announced on Friday that it has inked a multi-year partnership deal with football icon David Beckham, making him the brand ambassador of the forex and CFDs broker.
Beckham is a former football player who played for the England national team for around 13 years. Additionally, he played for several football clubs across England, Europe and the United States over his long career. He is a well-known sports figure with fans across the world and is ranked among the best football players ever.
According to the signed agreement, Beckham will help to promote the GemForex brand and its services across Asia.
“I'm pleased to announce my partnership with GemForex as their brand ambassador,” Beckham said in a statement. “It's very exciting to be working with a business like GemForex, a company made in Japan, a country and culture that I have a lot of admiration for and a place that I have visited many times.”
The deal between GemForex and Beckham was brokered by Sports Media Gaming, but none of the parties has disclosed the amount involved.
Brokers and Sports
Apparently, several other trading companies are closing deals with major sports brands and personalities to promote their brands. Earlier this year, Dublin-based AvaTrade signed an Olympic champion, Usain Bolt as its brand ambassador.
While some brokers are relying on one popular face for promotion, others like eToro are sponsoring several sports clubs to target their brands to specific markets.
“David is highly professional, and his ambition to be the best in everything he does matches our vision for GemForex too. We are excited to get started, and we plan to actively promote the partnership with a number of key initiatives in the future,” a GemForex spokesperson said.
