ICM.com, an FX and CFDs Trading Platform , has inked a sponsorship deal with English football club, Newcastle United, becoming its sleeve sponsor for the 2020-21 season.
“We are really excited to partner with Newcastle United, a world-renowned English Premier League football club,” Shoaib Abedi, founder and director of ICM.com, said in a statement.
Announced last week, the deal will put the brokerage’s logo on the jersey sleeves of the football team. ICM.com will benefit from several additional commercial benefits, including high profile advertising and hospitality.
This will give the brokerage significant exposure among the club fans as Newcastle is playing in the English Premier League, the top football league in England.
“We are looking forward to see ICM.com on the players’ sleeves in the Premier League and we will be watching on and celebrating the team’s successes with our clients and fans,” Abedi added.
ICM.com is a multi-national Forex and CFD trading company with headquarters in London, and offices in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. The company rebranded itself in August 2018 from ICM Capital to ICM.com to represent all of the firm’s group entities under one brand.
To run its global operations without any hurdles, the brokerage obtained licenses from the regulators of seven jurisdictions.
“I am delighted to welcome ICM.com to our growing roster of leading, forward-thinking partner brands,” Dale Aitchison, head of commercial at Newcastle United, said. “We look forward to building on that success together with campaigns, competitions, and content that deliver value to our supporters.”
More and More Brokers Sponsoring Sports
Lately, sports sponsorship has become one of the lucrative marketing channels for brokerages. Earlier today, Finance Magnates reported on Skilling becoming a sponsor of Aston Villa, another English football club.
Other brokerages like easyMarkets and Libertex went after the giants and are now sponsoring Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur, respectively. eToro, on the other hand, saw benefits in bulk deals and is sponsoring a total of 12 football clubs in the United Kingdom and Germany.
