The enhanced protection includes the two-factor authentication using one-time passwords and the ability to change master and investor passwords.
In order to enable the two-factor authentication, users simply need to launch the MetaTrader 5 mobile application, log in and choose the OTP generator option in the Settings window.
The one-time password (OTP) generator can bind all trading accounts and automatically generate a unique one-time six-digit password for each account. Users should enter the generated password when logging in to the web platform which will secure their account.
The updated MetaTrader 5 web platform also includes an auto generation of demo accounts feature and provides users with the opportunity to change master and investor passwords.
Today's new update follows last month's announcement that the company had unveiled its latest MT5 build incorporating new features to the hedging mode and other graphics, as reported by Finance Magnates.
