Oanda launches a BlackBerry application

By Oz Golan, Tradency.

Oanda has just announced the launch of the FXtrade and FXgame BlackBerry application, which is designed to work on the BlackBerry Bold 9000, BlackBerry Bold 9650, and the BlackBerry Bold 9700 models, but may work on others.

The application enables live and demo users to place a trade via their BlackBerry device, making the Oanda platform accessible at any time and any place for BlackBerry users. I have checked the application with the Bold 9700. From my point of view, the application has an impressive design and intuitive functionality for BlackBerry users. The application runs fast and is responsive to each click. One of the functions I liked about this application is the availability of real-time Charts, based on candle-Stick or Ribbon which allow the user to not only manage his open positions but also to make new trades based on the current market movement.

As seen in Michael's last interview with Oanda CMO Paul Jeszenszky, Oanda is a very technically- oriented company which is able to deliver its clients advanced applications with very short timelines to market. This should be most attractive within the business community, where most people use their Black Berry. Well done Oanda for developing this clear and simple application.
