The sponsorship agreement includes the display of Plus500’s logo on the team's front and away shirts for both national and international games.
The team is competing in the Super Rugby league - one of the most high profile rugby competitions in the world. With teams from Argentina, Australia, Japan, South Africa and New Zealand, the competition is providing massive exposure to rugby fans globally.
Plus500 will also benefit from branding exposure via the official name of the club which is now 'the Plus500 Brumbies', stadium advertising, and other sponsorship benefits.
Commenting on the news, the CEO of Plus500, Asaf Elimelech, said: “We are thrilled that this partnership with the Brumbies is continuing as we both strive for success in our respective industries. Australia remains a key market for Plus500 and we are delighted to be aligned with such a well-known team.”
The Brumbies are one of Australia's most successful rugby teams and are the current champions of the Australian Super Rugby conference. The GIO stadium hosts 25,000 and provides solid exposure for the Plus500 brand.
Rugby stands side by side with Australian football and cricket as one of the most popular sports in the country.
European fans are obsessed mainly with football, and Plus500 gets exposure there via its sponsorship of Atletico Madrid. The brokerage already expended its partnership with the Spanish team earlier this year.
