Rebound in Japanese Binary Options, Trading Volume up 40% in July MoM

  • The Financial Futures Association of Japan (FFAJ) reports that Japanese retail brokers of over-the-counter binary options saw the total trading volume reached ¥53,790,714,399 during the month of July 2014.

The Financial Futures Association of Japan (FFAJ) has just released the personal over-the-counter binary options trading Monthly Metrics Report for July 2014, showing a rebound in volume.

During July the trading volume in binary options in Japan reached ¥53,790,714,399, a considerable increase of about 39.7% from the previous month, but still down from the May trading volume of ¥68,703,392,696 and not even close to the figure of ¥93,426,158,216 reached in March of this year.

The eight "FFAJ Binary Options Member" refers to Japanese member-firms within FFAJ involved in the transactions of OTC binary options for individual customers. These are composed of 'trading members', parties directly involved in the options trade as well as 'intermediary members' third partying in the transaction. They include GMO CLICK Securities Co., Traders Securities Co., IG Securities Co., JFX, PLANEX TRADE. COM, Waijei FX, Hirose Trade Co. and FX Trade Financial.
