Foreign Exchange broker UFX.com has launched a new partnership with French footballer and sports commentator, Emmanuel Petit, who will become the official face of the group in France.
The new world of Online Trading , fintech and marketing – register now for the Finance Magnates Tel Aviv Conference, June 29th 2016.
Mr. Petit steps into his new role following a lengthy career as a football player for such clubs as Monaco, Arsenal, Barcelona, and Chelsea. He will work as its French brand ambassador, a newly created role that is tailor made for the football veteran.
Mr. Petit has been involved in a number of ventures since retiring from football in 2004, with a majority of his ambitions and efforts being reserved for charity organisations and similar not-for-profit initiatives. He joins another former marquee athlete, rugby legend Mike Tindall, as UFX’s latest bid to promote its image with well-known sports players.
As its French brand ambassador, Mr. Petit will appear in all the UFX trading advertisements, as well as other marketing campaigns across France and the rest of the world.
According to UFX’s Managing Director Dennis de Jong in a recent statement on the partnership: "We are excited to have a distinguished talent such as Emmanuel Petit joining the UFX family, and we look forward to the countless possibilities such a unique partnership affords us both.”
The deal follows on the heels of other notable deals between FX brokers and football players and clubs as of late, including an accord between Divisa Capital and Watford Football Club earlier this month.
