  • Saxo Bank Selects GlobeTax to Provide Withholding Tax Reclaim Services

GlobeTax, a leading provider of cross-border withholding tax recovery services, announced that Saxo Bank, the trading and investment specialist has appointed GlobeTax to provide tax reclaim services to its direct clients and broker network. Saxo Bank’s cooperation with GlobeTax will allow its clients to increase investment returns by recovering over-withheld cross-border tax on dividends. Under the agreement, GlobeTax, with offices in New York, London, Milan and Sydney, began providing Saxo Bank’s direct clients with tax reclaim services as of December 1st 2010.

Informatica Corporation the independent provider of data integration software, has announced that Saxo Bank A/S, an investment bank specializing in Online Trading and investments, has standardized on Informatica Ultra Messaging, part of the Informatica Platform, for zero-latency data integration and data delivery. Informatica Ultra Messaging aims to enable Saxo Bank to take control of its trading-data growth, providing higher throughput and lower latency messaging during the core transaction phase of trade management.

  • China eyes more FX derivatives -industry association

China's financial markets industry association said that it aimed to develop more derivatives linked to the yuan's exchange rate CNY=CFXS. The National Association of Financial Market Institutional Investors (NAFMII) also aims to develop derivatives based on yen, euro, the dollar, international bonds and bank deposits, Feng Guanghua, deputy secretary general of NAFMII, told a forum in Sanya, on China's southern island of Hainan.

E*Trade Financial Corporation (NASDAQ:ETFC) announced that E*Trade Securities LLC has introduced E*Trade Mobile Pro for Android(1), providing on-the-go access to real-time market news and information, E*Trade brokerage and bank accounts, and the ability to trade stocks via Google's innovative mobile operating system. The mobile investing and banking application is available free in the Android Market and features a first-of-its-kind downloadable widget enabling users with one-click access to view market data, indices, and stock quotes on the device's home screen.
