In a move to build its brand awareness among Australian football fans, eToro has entered into a three-year sponsorship agreement and has become the Official Trading and Investing Platform for the A-Leagues.
eToro Partners with APL for A-Leagues Sponsorship
The newest partnership with Australian Professional Leagues (APL) encompasses both the Isuzu UTE A-League Men and Liberty A-League Women, featuring eToro’s branding on the men's playing jerseys for the 2023/2024 season, substitution boards across competitions, and a digital presence on A-Leagues channels.
The APL is “delighted to announce eToro as [a] new partner,” as expressed by the APL Commissioner Nick Garcia. He highlights the record-breaking attendance and viewership already achieved by the Liberty A-League Women and anticipates an “incredible season” for the Isuzu UTE A-League Men.
“eToro has a long standing connection with football globally and we look forward to developing our long term partnership,” Garcia commented.
Growing Portfolio of eToro’s Sport Sponsorships
eToro boasts a comprehensive global sponsorship portfolio, including partnerships with the English Premier League, German Bundesliga, Spanish Liga ACB, and UK Premiership Rugby. This new partnership with the APL adds to their long list, showing how building brand awareness through sports is important in the retail trading industry.
“Following the success of the FIFA Women’s World Cup and as part of our mission to empower everyone to take control of their financial destinies, we are excited to be supporting both male and female teams,” Robert Francis, the Managing Director of eToro Australia, said. “We hope to inspire more people to explore investing as a way to secure their financial future. We are looking forward to attending the games and enjoying some great football.”
Although eToro's sponsorship agreements have so far focused on other parts of the world, this is not the first time the social trading giant has collaborated with Australian sports. In 2021, Finance Magnates reported that the company became a sponsor of Rugby Australia for three years, with the contract valid until next year.
