eToro announced on Monday that it is introducing a new "Live Trades" feature on its platform. The service is currently available to almost all users, with the exception of traders from the US, and its goal is to provide valuable insights into transactions made by experienced traders using the platform.
Live Trades to Give eToro Users “Social Edge”
The latest tool is available on the platform's "Discovery" page, directly below the "Copy Trader" section. It allows users to follow the positions of other investors.
eToro operates as a social trading platform, and the new feature will allow retail investors to gain live insights into the positions and signals generated by participants in the "Popular Investors" program, where more experienced traders share their trading ideas with other eToro users.
"It's a unique offering that sets eToro apart, providing you with a social edge in your investment decisions," the company wrote in an official post announcing the new service.
Additionally, Live Trades is intended to serve as a platform for the Popular Investors themselves, allowing them to gain additional recognition for their achievements and profitable signals.
"It's a win-win situation for both traders and investors," eToro summarized.
Latest Developments at eToro
eToro recently announced its partnership with 21Shares, an issuer of crypto exchange-traded products (ETPs). Established a month ago, this collaboration aims to introduce a new investment portfolio that leverages a data-driven strategy for cryptocurrency investments, reflecting eToro's commitment to innovation in financial technology.
Furthermore, the platform has enhanced its user engagement by allowing retail stock traders to participate in shareholder meetings through voting. Initially launched for US stocks last year, this feature has been expanded to global markets, empowering eToro traders to exercise their voting rights across various companies.
In recent compliance and operational developments, eToro has achieved a significant milestone by obtaining the SOC 2 Type II Compliance Certification. This certification, audited and issued by Grant Thornton two weeks ago, affirms that eToro adheres to high data security, privacy, and confidentiality standards in its custody operations.
Additionally, eToro welcomed back Naomi Rarmani as the Head of Compliance Operations earlier this month. Announced via her LinkedIn profile, Rarmani returns to the company with extensive experience in compliance and operational management, ready to strengthen eToro's commitment to regulatory and operational excellence.
