Tixee, a forex and contracts for differences (CFDs) broker operating in the EU and globally, has quietly shuttered services, Finance Magnates learned from an industry source.
Tixee Goes Dark
The broker operates with licenses from the regulators in Cyprus and Seychelles. GVD Korimcy Ltd operates Tixee under the Cypriot license, and Pipbull Limited is the Seychelles-registered entity.
The two licenses allow Tixee to operate in a broad market. It passports the Cypriot license to offer trading services across the European Economic Area (EEA), while with the Seychelles licenses, it can onboard clients from global markets without specific FX/CFDs trading regulations.
Tixee websites, tixee.eu for EU and tixee.com globally, suspended registration without providing any details. At the time of writing, the EU website is noting that “registration at the moment is not possible,” while the Seychelles-regulated platform is displaying, “temporarily new registrations are unavailable.”
Finance Magnates tried contacting the customer support of Cypriot and Seychelles entities operating Tixee. However, they are not responsive either on live chat or by phone, despite the claims of 24/5 customer support. In addition, Finance Magnates tried to reach out to Tixee executives and will update this story with their official response.
Tixee Inked Multiple Partnership Deals Recently
Tixee offers retail trading services with currency pairs and contracts for differences of other popular asset classes. According to the Seychelles-registered website, Tixee has more than 155,000 registered clients from over 115 countries. However, the EU website does not show any such numbers.
The broker inked a sports deal last August, becoming one of the official sponsors of Apollon Limassol FC for the playing seasons 2022 until 2024. The Cypriot football club still lists Tixee as one of its sponsors on its official website.
Meanwhile, Tixee streamlined its service recently by adding Match-Prime as one of its liquidity providers. Furthermore, most recently, Todor Georgiev departed from Tixee to join FXGlobe. He joined Tixee in mid-2021 as the Head of Legal and Compliance and parted as the Chief Operating Officer.
