Financial websites are getting a new option for their data needs with the launch of a new product jointly developed by ChartIQ and Xignite. The first company delivers the HTML5 charting technology, which it has already successfully applied to solutions for foreign exchange and equity markets, while the second is specialized in delivering market data from the Cloud .

A total of four new widgets will be available to financial websites with the solution encompassing market data from the cloud and a user-friendly HTML5 solution. According to the joint announcement by ChartIQ and Xignite, the new solution will be more cost-effective and user-friendly for financial websites.

ChartIQ’s co-founder and President, Dan Schleifer, shared in the announcement, “By partnering with Xignite, we’re able to deliver a combined solution with real-time and historical market data, the best in HTML5 design, all at a lower cost to our clients.”

In addition, the widgets will be compatible across multiple platforms with support for web, tablets and smartphones.

A total of four widgets have been launched. MarketX provides quotes, charts and news, while InvestorX is developed specifically for investor relations websites of publicly traded companies, including news, financials and charting.

The tool ChartX is closer to a full charting solution with customization options for adding advanced studies and technical charting styles, aimed mainly at brokers and may be complemented with CalendarX. The last product is an economic events calendar which may be used by brokers or financial portals.

The founder and CEO of Xignite, Stephane Dubois, shared, “A significant amount of the widgets found on the market today are zombies, and we’ve seen little to no innovation in the space since the 1990s. With device-fed millennials coming en masse to the market, there is an opportunity to provide stunning widgets that can dramatically lift the user experience.”

The solutions are fully customizable and may be branded and designed in tune with the website on which they are displayed. No coding or expensive market data feeds will be a prerequisite.

Clients will have a choice between international equities, futures and Forex data feeds, with the companies promising affordability as being part of the package.
