TABB Group, a research and consulting firm focused on capital markets and financial technology, announced earlier this week that it has acquired Securities Operations Forum (SOF) from The Summit Group.
The SOF is a forum for operations professionals in the financial services industry. It provides training courses, workshops, conferences and other similar services to banks, broker/dealers, regulatory agencies, and more.

The Chief Executive Officer of TABB Group Bruce Morris commented on the acquisition: “For more than 20 years, Securities Operations Forum has enriched the educational and professional stature of over 50,000 existing and aspiring executives in the financial services markets.”
“By combining TABB Group’s international market expertise, consulting services and research content offerings in Equities , fixed income, derivatives, futures, cryptocurrency, Fintech and regtech, along with our deep market reach, will allow us to provide new and enhanced training programs to individuals and companies through a wide offering of classroom, custom and virtual-training programs.”
TABB Group Launches TABB Training
As part of the acquisition, TABB has launched TABB Training, which will broaden the Group’s strategic information resources and services offered to the financial industry. Leading the new unit is Ledia Koka, a veteran in the training industry.
Koka is a new addition to the TABB Group and joins from Financial Markets World, a provider of business information and networking opportunities through conferences and seminars. Here, she was most recently the President and Chief Financial Officer. Her move to TABB ends her 14-year-long tenure with the company.

The statement released by TABB Group does not go into much detail about what TABB Training will offer. However, it can be expected that it will continue on from SOF and offer similar services.
