Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission urges vigilance

The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC ) has banned Mr Emmanuel Ayoun from practising professional activities in the financial sector for a period of five years. The decision comes after the commission found that Mr Ayoun had misled CySEC by providing false information in a personal questionnaire for his appointment at a Cyprus Investment Firm (CIF).

In the board meeting held on 6th Feb 2017, CySEC also decided to impose an administrative fine of €10,000 upon Mr Ayoun for non-compliance with section 139(2) of the Investment Services and Activities and Regulated Markets Law of 2007. Mr Ayoun provided false information in a personal questionnaire regarding his previous employment with CySEC during the process of his appointment as an Executive Director and Senior Management Officer at a CIF.

According to social platform LinkedIn, Mr Emmanuel Ayoun has been working as COO/CFO of AMFF Ltd. for more than 5 years. He manages the financial and legal affairs of the company. According to its website, the company edals with client fund management, and it is regulated by CySec.
