FCA Will Present Refreshed Website in June

The UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) ) announced today that it intends to run a new, redesigned website in June 2016. According to the official press release it will not be fully completed, but users will be able to benefit from significantly improved features. The final version of fca.org.uk should be launched in September this year.

Over the last few months, the FCA worked with consumers and companies to plan a new layout of the webpage, wanting to implement the solutions proposed by the users. Thanks to the completed work, information will be presented in a clearer and more constructive way.

The redesign is assumed to facilitate the search, understanding and fulfillment of regulatory tasks, adjusting the website to the needs of desktop and mobile users, presenting the most popular content in languages other than English.

The new version of the onsite search engine was implemented in August last year and was still being developed before the presentation of the new version of the portal. From June 2016, each user will be able to filter search results based on the section, documents tape and the date of their publication. In addition, the FCA has created a dedicated page for each type of business conducted within its Regulation . This will help in displaying information specific to a particular industry, such as events and the latest news.

Changes in “Your FCA” from September

From September 2016 the “Your FCA” section will be titled “News and Publications”. Within it users will have the opportunity to review all the publications relating to a specific project or issue in one place, browse the “Media Centre” section containing video materials and filter information according to the specific issues.

The British market watchdog also responded to recent comments suggesting that searching for information on local and international regulations is difficult. As part of webpage redesign, a new section with links in the main menu will be created, to improve the layout organization and ensure a more logical interface. At the same time, the FCA waits for further suggestions and comments from its users, which can be send via email (fcadigitalteam@fca.org.uk).
