FlexTrade, a broker-neutral technology firm, announced today that it has integrated Dataminr, an AI and machine learning-focused firm, into its platform FlexTRADER EMS. This integration will stream news alert feeds through the platform based on criteria chosen by the trader.

The announcement said that traders can create watchlists based on the type of news that they would like to be delivered. The news will be delivered in real-time onto the platform, so that traders can focus on only the news most relevant to them. The type could be, for example, Forex and commodity-related news only. The news filter can also be set according to names of companies, industries and specific topics.
These customised watchlists flow from the trader’s Dataminr account to the FlexTRADER platform, in real time. The announcement also states that trades and other automated actions can be triggered based on Dataminr alerts, and that alerts in foreign languages can be translated into English.
Steven Schwartz, President of Commercial Markets at Dataminr, said: “We are excited to deliver Dataminr’s unique combination of content, speed, and coverage to the FlexTRADER EMS. Bringing together a best in class Execution management system with the leading real-time breaking alert platform is an unbelievable way of ensuring clients receive what they need to know right when it’s most critical.”
