NinjaTrader Releases Latest Version of its Multi-Broker Trading Platform

After some delay, the vastly improved NinjaTrader 8 was finally released today. Following a successful beta test with select clients, the platform is now available for futures, Forex and equities traders.

Designed for professional users and active retail traders, the newly-launched platform delivers 500+ user driven enhancements, providing end users with a robust and secure internet-based trading solution.

However, there is a downside — indicators that have been written for NinjaTrader version 7 and below will not work with Ninjatrader 8.0, but the conversion process for the majority of scripts will be minimal. Traders can continue to use version 7 while they have their indicators updated to version 8.

Although the company made large advancements with NinjaTrader 8, existing users will feel right at home as general usability has remained intact. Use of NinjaTrader's standard features, which include advanced charting, market Analytics , automated strategy development, backtesting and optimization will remain free. Furthermore, traders can continue to choose their preferred broker among several providers, including Interactive Brokers and TD Ameritrade, and also a market data provider of their choice such as Kinetick, eSignal, IQFeed, and Google Finance.

Over 500 powerful advancements

NinjaTrader 8 provides new and improved functionality including enhanced charting capabilities that allow drag and drop to move indicators and chart bars between tabs or windows; redesigned interface with a highly intuitive user-interface to provide easy access to available information and tools. It also supports 4 unique 'skins' and regionalization options for Spanish, German and Russian traders.

In addition, NinjaTrader 8 has made a significant expansion for the C# trading framework to allow developers build integrated trading apps. The company has also improved backtesting functionality by offering a redesigned Strategy Analyzer to provide optimizations on multiple objectives simultaneously.

Commenting on the launch, Raymond Deux, founder and CEO of NinjaTrader Group LLC, said: “We are excited to introduce NinjaTrader 8 as it will provide traders with more functionality and flexibility than ever before. Redesigned with a focus on greater performance, optimized navigation & expanded analysis capabilities, NinjaTrader 8 equips our traders with the dynamic tools they need while laying the groundwork for future product development.”
