IG Group has given Marketing a boost as its institutional services subsidiary, IG Prime, has inked a partnership deal with Rosberg X Racing, the Extreme E racing team owned by former Formula 1 world champion Nico Rosberg.

Per the agreement signed between the two, the IG Prime logo will be displayed on the side of the rally car of the team. The logo will first appear at the Ocean X Prix du Lac Rose in Senegal, the two-day racing event to be flagged on May 29.

This partnership has been strategically inked as the broker is positioning itself as a zero-carbon company.

“At IG Prime, we are all very proud of this partnership with Rosberg X Racing and of being able to take part in the Extreme E championship,” Fouad Bajjali, CEO of IG Bank, commented.

“We are convinced that this partnership with a pioneering team led by an innovator such as Nico Rosberg will be a real boost to our ESG ambitions and an inspiration for both our employees and our customers. RXR's intense desire for success echoes the IG Group values, which aim to support ambitious people and achieve excellence.”

Another Sports Sponsorship Deal

Rosberg X Racing has become the top Extreme E racing team after winning the first round in April at the Desert X Prix. Molly Taylor and Johan Kristoffersson are the two riders of the team.

“It's wonderful to be able to announce our partnership with IG Prime,” Rosberg said. “Our performance for the start of the inaugural Extreme E season has been excellent, and we look forward to building on this momentum, with IG Prime onboard, at the Ocean X Prix this weekend in Senegal.”

IG’s latest sponsorship came only a day after the broker group became the official sponsor of the England Cricket Team.
