IS Prime has strengthened its sales operations by on-boarding Terry Gill, the former Director at Edgewater Markets. He joins IS Prime’s Agency Execution team as part of a newly created role in its Institutional Sales segment, per a group statement.
The addition of MGill follows on the heels of IS Prime's recent expansion of NFDs and forwards. Indeed, the Prime of Prime and execution services provider has been emphasizing its Agency Execution business as of late, catering more extensively to its institutional client base.
This trend is hardly a new phenomenon for the group. The past four years have seen IS Prime continually offering execution services as well as an array of Liquidity solutions. Since its founding, the firm has managed to on-board mid-tier and small banks, hedge funds, and voice traders who use the firm for its liquidity services.
Veteran hire
Gill joins IS Prime with a lengthy background in sales, operations, and support. He has been a part of the FX industry for over a decade, initially beginning at Tullett Prebon as an FX Money Broker. Over the next decade, he ventured into the sales space in 2012 with Rosenthal Collins Group (RCG).
Raj Sitlani, Managing Partner, IS Prime commented on the hire, “Terry has a strong agency background, great contacts and a proven track recording in growing a global client base. He will be an asset to the firm as we continue to grow our Agency Execution team and broaden our product portfolio for institutional clients.”
In 2013 he helped launch Edgewater Markets, maintaining an integral role with the group’s rise and development. His experience will be an asset in his new role as IS Prime looks to continue to develop its institutional offering.
“I have been watching the rapid rise of IS Prime since its inception and am excited to have joined such a dynamic and fast growing firm to play a key role in developing their agency desk. IS Prime’s Agency Execution business has been built out of its thriving Prime of Prime offering, leveraging the firm’s relationships with top tier banks and its exceptional technology and quant resources. They have a compelling offering for institutional clients,” added Gill.
