BidFX, a Trading Platform and provider of electronic foreign exchange (forex) trading solutions, announced this Wednesday that Jump Liquidity has joined the company’s Execution Management System (EMS) platform as its newest liquidity provider.

BidFX sees rising liquidity demand

Jump Liquidity, a part of Jump Trading, is a proprietary trading firm that offers bespoke liquidity to counterparties across multiple asset classes. The liquidity provider has joined the BidFX platform to meet increasing demand.

Commenting on the announcement, BidFX CRO, John McGrath, said: “With the rapid expansion of BidFX we are happy to see Jump Liquidity join our EMS in response to high client demand. Their tailored liquidity will enrich the liquidity provision of our platform and provide a bespoke solution for many clients.”

The motivation for Jump Liquidity to join BidFX is to maintain its status as one of the largest market makers in FX central limit order books and ECNs.

Jump Liquidity continues to expand offering

In addition to partnering with BidFX, Jump Liquidity is also actively expanding its liquidity offering. As Finance Magnates reported, earlier this year in June the company announced that it would be launching a pricing engine in Singapore with the help of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).

The company already has pricing engines in New York and London and will be adding a third one to its Tokyo operations in the near future.

Jump Trading has already had an office in Singapore for around ten years. The pricing engine, which is likely to go live in the third quarter of this year, will support the company’s existing client base in the region.

“Jump is one of the largest market makers in FX central limit order books and ECNs and we’re excited to continue that trend in our direct business by becoming a new liquidity provider on BidFX for Spot FX, NDF and Precious Metals Trading,” added Jump Liquidity’s Head of Distribution, Europe Harry Kent.
