Colt Technology Services, a provider of network and communications services for trading groups, has launched a new Cloud service in Asia, helping consolidate a wide range of utilities into one comprehensive solution. Its Asia Cloud PBX Service will aim to help mitigate customer costs and operational loads, according to a company statement.
Colt’s Asia Cloud PBX Service is targeting an April launch, which will aim to combine PBX functionality, IP Phones, and more streamlined connectivity in the cloud computing space. Private Branch Exchange (PBX) functionality is provided by software that helps integrate mediums of communication for businesses.
The launch of Colt Asia Cloud PBX Service is important as it will help customers forgo requirements to rely on and purchase their own PBX, in essence enabling them to incur minimized initial costs and small monthly fees. In addition, the new PBX service will also help reduce several other costs, such as overheads and issues associated with traditional PBX and telephony systems that are utilized by companies with multi-site connections at different offices, branches and storefronts.
Support of Global Colt Network
The deployment of an Asian-focused cloud infrastructure will also strengthen the flexibility and scalability required for growing businesses in the region. Colt’s Asia Cloud PBX Service will also be installed within its worldwide data centers, which will be powered by the Colt IQ Network, its private Ethernet network.
According to Colt’s CCO Asia and Regional Executive Kenji Hioki in a statement on the launch of the new solution: “Cloud computing is already a standard in today’s IT environment. This reality also applies to voice communications, including telephony, that are indispensable to corporate business.”
“With this service, Colt is dramatically reducing the cost of acquiring PBX and corporate telephony, in turn reducing the associated maintenance and overhead expenses that come with a communications network spanning multiple sites. These capabilities are essential for launching new businesses, rapid expansion of existing businesses, and establishing new sites,” he added.
