Nasdaq (Nasdaq:NDAQ) has launched its IR Insight platform, which is designed to cater specifically to financial executives and senior investing relations officers (IROs) worldwide, according to a Nasdaq statement.

The new IR platform was developed as a result of a detailed collaboration with clients from Nasdaq’s corporate finance suite in a bid to create a fully integrated and comprehensive user interface. The IR Insight platform will be offered by Nasdaq Corporate Solutions, a subsidiary of Nasdaq Inc.

The launch is important as it helps solidify Nasdaq’s IR Insight as a consolidated portal for financial executives and IROs of all asset classes. Perhaps more importantly, users of Nasdaq IR Insight will be able to garner several functions and utilities.

These include the disaggregated analysis of specific factors impacting a respective company's stock, comprehensive sell-side research by sell-side analysts, insights into Buy-Side decision-making as well as in-depth access into buy-side firms, funds and contact data.

According to Adena Friedman, President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Nasdaq in a recent statement on the launch: "We have invested a significant amount of financial and intellectual capital to deeply understand what the senior executive suite needs in terms of intelligence and workflows to engage successfully with their investors.”

“Not only do we think that Nasdaq IR Insight will tremendously improve efficiency in investor interactions, we also believe the platform will allow financial executives to elevate their work by providing actionable intelligence and market insights," Friedman added.

"By working in close collaboration with our clients throughout the build - prototyping, visual design, and usability analysis - it gave us a deep understanding of not only what IROs want, but what public companies need in order to execute successfully on their investor relations strategy and day-to-day activities," noted Stacie Swanstrom, Senior Vice President and Head of Nasdaq Corporate Solutions.

"The launch of Nasdaq IR Insight is the first step in how we are synergizing the breadth and depth of our Corporate Solutions product suite to streamline how companies communicate with their stakeholders via investor relations, public relations, multimedia and governance functions and channels. We are excited about the evolution of this space and proud to be at the center, leading the transformation," she reiterated.

Nasdaq has been relatively muted in its headlines since the beginning of the new year, with its latest initiative being the integration with Turkey’s Borsa Istanbul. Back in December, Borsa Istanbul went live on Nasdaq’s platform, granting the Turkish exchange access to Nasdaq’s trading and clearing, settlement, market data management, index calculation, market surveillance, business intelligence and Risk Management capabilities.
