FX Industry Mourns the Death of Liquidity Connect CEO Victor Hendrix
Victor Hendrix

Finance Magnates reports with immense sadness that Victor Hendrix, CEO of Liquidity Connect, passed away last week. Hendrix was an industry veteran with nearly two decades of experience in the FX market.

“It is with great sadness that we inform you that Victor Hendrix, CEO, Liquidity Connect, passed away on June 17, 2021. Victor was a well-known and highly respected figure, having been in the industry since 2005. Our thoughts are with his family and colleagues during this difficult time,” Liquidity Connect mentioned in a brief statement this week.

Prominent names from the FX industry extended their condolences to the family and friends of Victor Hendrix.

Tom Higgins

Tom Higgins, CEO of Gold-i, said: “I first met Victor at a bar in Cyprus where he was attending an FX trade show, having just joined the FX industry selling Hosting technology. I immediately knew that Victor would become a friend as he had such a warm and outgoing personality, as well as that enviable ability to talk to anyone with such ease. Victor made many friends and added many new clients in his first foray into FX, which, as it does for most of us in the industry, drew him in. When he left Beeks I was really surprised as he was at home in the world of hosting, and so I was really pleased when he set up Liquidity Connect to continue his passion.”

“It has been great to continue working with Victor, since those early days, through everything from simple hosting to complex network routing between multiple Global points. We are all in shock at Gold-i as this was so sudden and it is not too often that you get to work with a true gentleman like Victor. He will remain in my memory as the first Texan I really got to know and like. Goodbye friend,” Higgins added.

Richard Bartlett

Richard Bartlett, Head of Sales at FXCubic, also expressed his sadness on the recent announcement. “The whole FXCubic team and I, are both shocked and deeply saddened to learn about the news of Victor's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family at this extremely difficult and sad time. I was lucky enough to personally knew Victor over many years and found him to be one of the kindest, generous and fun-loving people I have ever had the pleasure to meet. On a professional level, he was fantastic to deal with, he was always open, honest and full of positive energy, which made working with him a real joy and privilege. This loss will be felt by many, and he will be sorely missed, but will forever remain in our hearts and thoughts. Rest in peace, Victor,” Bartlett said.

Cristian Vlasceanu

“It was with great sadness that I learned of Victor’s passing. I was shocked, and I still can’t believe it… I had the pleasure of meeting Victor several years back and have been in touch with him ever since. He was always full of energy, smiling and passionate, always there to help. I spoke to him last week, it was in my early morning and his late evening. We finished by saying:

Victor: have a great day ahead

Me: thanks Victor, have a good night.

I still cannot believe that suddenly he is not with us anymore… Rest well, my friend! My deepest condolences to Victor's family and friends,” Cristian Vlasceanu, CEO at Centroid Solutions, said.
