London-based capital markets software provider, Genesis Global Technology will deploy Symphony’s collaboration platform, which offers secure collaboration and workflow technology. The integration brings secure and compliant messaging to Genesis’s low-code application platform (LCAP) for innovation projects.
Teaming up with Symphony allows users to communicate and distribute content directly from the ecosystem of applications already running on Genesis. Currently, in beta testing, communications can be initiated by the trader, or automatically based on a specific market event or situation, which ensures seamless deployment and the interoperability of Symphony.
Additionally, Genesis and Symphony’s partnership aims to speed up the delivery of technology and digitisation of trading workflows at reduced costs while also ensuring that clients can meet Compliance requirements. Moreover, it connects Symphony’s community of more than 500,000 global markets professionals to a range of applications designed and built on the Genesis low-code application platform.
Users Can Conduct Business via 'Their Favorite Applications
Overall, the primary impetus behind Symphony is to foster the adoption of opensource technology within financial services. As such, Symphony’s open architecture allows Genesis to integrate their workflows with both their own applications and a growing ecosystem of third-party applications.
Commenting on the collaboration, Genesis CEO, Stephen Murphy said: “The powerful combination of Genesis Low-Code Application Platform and Symphony’s collaboration and messaging platform means that together we can provide highly performant and scalable applications to the financial markets community. This allows them to create enriched, digital workflows and at speed. We share a common goal with Symphony: to drive industry collaboration and improve and simplify the way financial markets develop, deliver and adapt their solutions to the changing market needs.”
Brad Levy, President and CCO at Symphony, added: “The Symphony and Genesis offerings complement each other. Our partnership with Genesis will encourage community-led innovation and make it quicker and simpler for our users to securely access the latest desktop applications. This, in turn, will improve workflow efficiency, while organisations will be able to future proof their business with technology that is fit for both today and can easily and quickly adapt to the changing market environment of tomorrow.”
