Trading Technologies (TT), a provider of professional trading software, has chosen Nick Garrow, the former Global Head of IT and Operations at Societe Generale (SG) Prime Services in London, to lead its expansion into new asset classes.

Garrow, as the company’s Executive Vice President of Multi-Asset & Buy Side, is to help TT go beyond offering exchange-traded derivatives to launching a range of new services for its buy-side community.

The London-based industry veteran, who brings over 20 years of capital markets, prime brokerage and fintech experience to the new role, now reports to the CEO, Keith Todd.

Garrow's appointment is coming a few weeks after TT, which is now owned by 7RIDGE, announced the acquisition of RCM-X, a technology provider of algorithmic execution strategies and quantitative trading products.

Todd believes Garrow is bringing “vision, leadership and tremendous talent and knowledge to this important management role.”

"We're thrilled to have Nick join us at this very exciting time as we build on the strength of our technology and seek to expand our offering through partnerships, acquisitions and organic enhancements to our platform,” the CEO added.

In his reaction to his appointment, Garrow said he was proud to join the team, adding that TT will be a driving force in bringing to market the most compelling multi-asset trading solution that the customers seek.

Garrow added: “TT has always been at the forefront of innovation in this industry. The delivery of the new SaaS platform, combined with the ambition, independence and investment that 7RIDGE brings, puts TT in an ideal position to expand its range of services and solutions.”

A Brief Look at Garrow’s Achievements

In 2014, after the acquisition of Newedge Group, a French global multi-asset brokerage by SG, Garrow became the Global Head of Cross-Asset Technology in London for SG Prime Services.

At the helm of affairs, Garrow, who started his career at Paris-based futures exchange, MATIF (now Euronext), integrated the company’s listed derivatives and cash equity trading technology.

In 2019, the industry veteran assumed responsibility for all global IT and operations of SG, driving a significant overhaul of the bank’s legacy technology and a new global operating model for the more than 600-person IT and operations teams.

Meanwhile, TT recently invested $6.35 million in KRM22, a technology and software investment company that focuses on risk management for capital markets. Furthermore, the company entered into a distribution agreement for the distribution and marketing of KRM22's risk management products.
