Beeks Financial Cloud Group said on Tuesday that it had become a Gold Partner of data center provider Equinix.
"Building a digital business requires the ability to reach strategic global destinations on demand, to access everyone that matters, and to bring people, clouds, data and things together," said Simon Ognall, head of channel and partner alliances at Equinix UK.
"We have a long-standing relationship with Beeks and are excited to see them continue to innovate with Equinix and achieve Gold Partner status.”
The Scottish cloud and low-latency services provider has been working with Equinix for close to a decade. When Beeks was launched back in 2011, the company set up shop in Equinix’s New York-based NY4 International Business Exchange .

Since then the collaboration between the two firms has grown, with Beeks now having a set of operations in ten Equinix data centers in North America, Europe, and Asia.
Last year, the Glasgow-based technology provider also joined the Equinix Cloud Exchange Fabric - a platform that allows companies to buy and sell cloud services.
Becoming a Gold Level partner with Equinix indicates that there are considerable benefits - for both parties - to the two firms' working relationship.
Having Gold Level status means that Beeks will be assigned Equinix business development executives and participate in quarterly business reviews.
“We are delighted to be named as a Gold Partner of Equinix, with whom we have worked ever since the company began," said Alan Samuel, chief sales officer at Beeks.
"This is a hugely positive step on our journey with Equinix, and will bring further opportunities for Beeks to grow within their network. I am looking forward to an increasingly fruitful relationship with our datacentre and interconnectivity partner.”
