BSO, a global ethernet network, Cloud and Hosting provider, is pushing full-steam ahead with its US expansion efforts, after announcing two more Points of Presence (PoP) in North American data centres.

The firm has expanded into CoreSite’s One Wilshire (LA1) in Los Angeles and Equinix Filigree Court in Ashburn, Virginia, two strategically located, well-connected gateways to other continents.

Low Latency Connectivity

The latest investment which comes just over a month after BSO launched Mumbai Connect, an ultra low latency service offering ultra-fast, flexible connectivity in and out of India to major global markets, provides its customers on both US coasts with a single point of entry to its global network, at the same time completing its connectivity circle across the globe.

Not only does it offer clients a link between both coasts, it also offers launching points to Europe, Asia and the Middle East. The move further reinforces the firm’s position as a trustworthy partner for all industries in need of low latency, high-capacity US routes.

It also adds to the growing number of partnerships the firm is building with well-known US connectivity brands, CoreSite and Equinix being two prime examples.

CoreSite’s One Wilshire, one of the world’s most interconnected data centres, is a leading hub for transpacific connectivity into Asia-Pacific markets. BSO customers can use the site as a launching point into Tokyo, then beyond into the firm’s Asia-Pacific network across Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore and Sydney.

The Equinix, Filigree Court location in Washington, DC is a connectivity hub on the East Coast providing diverse routing across the US by avoiding the Chicago and NYC metro areas. Customers of this data centre will now have access to BSO’s recently optimised fastest available trading routes between Chicago and key financial hubs in Moscow, Dubai and Mumbai.

Michael Ourabah, CEO at BSO commented, “BSO’s decision to bring LA1 on-net offers CoreSite’s customers a key opportunity to upgrade their Asia network with market-leading, diverse connections, as BSO offers the lowest latency routes available from the West Coast to Tokyo and the rest of Asia. Our move into the Equinix Washington location provides the US finance community with a single point of access to BSO’s transatlantic low latency connectivity into Europe and the Middle East.
