SCBS will be using Horizon for advanced warrant market making and Delta One trading activities on the SET (Stock Exchange of Thailand) and TFEX (Thailand Future Exchange).

We were looking to upgrade to a new trading platform to support our growing trading room.

SCBS was established in 1995 and has quickly became one of Thailand's most prominent securities companies providing financial products and services to both institutional and retail investors in the capital markets.

M.L. Thongmakut Thongyai, Chief Executive Officer of SCB Securities, commented: “We were looking to upgrade to a new trading platform to support our growing trading room. We needed the core elements of flexibility, scalability and efficiency, but the most important thing for us was that that the system we chose was able to support our long-term business goals of development and growth. Horizon’s ‘Trade Your Way’ technology gives us the trading flexibility we need; the extensive functionality of the platform has already resulted in us looking to expand the scope of our work with them.”

Horizon focuses on all trading businesses related to listed markets such as Delta One, structured products and options market making and trading. The sophisticated algorithmic capabilities of Horizon’s platform allow clients to create, test and implement automated strategies within incredibly short timescales.

Ekaluck Chaiyaporn, ASEAN Sales Director at Horizon, added: "Industry players like SCBS require a single platform which can address their various needs for a sophisticated, automated trading solution and that’s exactly what we deliver. We look forward to working side-by-side with SCB Securities and helping them extend and grow their business.”

Finance Magnates last reported on Horizon back in August after the company entered into a partnership agreement with brokerage KGI Securities to deliver a solution called Horizon Automated Trading, enabling advanced algorithmic trading strategies for the proprietary trading arm of KGI.
