Euronext on Thursday announced a reshuffling at the top of the management team of the firm. The leading pan-European Exchange in the Eurozone announced the appointment Gil Mandelzis as a non-executive director of Euronext US.
Mandelzis currently serves as the CEO of Capitolis, a New York-headquartered Technology Provider for global capital markets, which he founded. He also founded Traiana and served as CEO of EBS BrokerTec, before the restructuring of the firm.
In addition, the Euronext also announced the end of the tenure of the CEO of Euronext London, Lee Hodgkinson, who will leave his post at the end of March. He will be succeeded by the company’s Head of Fixed Income, Rates and FX, Paul Humphrey on an interim basis.
Humphrey takes on a number of roles
In addition to his role as interim CEO of Euronext London, Humphrey will also work as interim Head of Global Sales, and interim member of the Managing Board of Euronext N.V.
Euronext is in the process of actively searching for Hodgkinson’s permanent replacement.
Commenting on the management shifts, the CEO and Chairman of the Managing Board of Euronext N.V., Stéphane Boujnah, said: “those appointments reflect Euronext’s strong commitment to the development of the FICC business, both in Europe and in the United States. I am confident that Paul Humphrey will successfully manage our London office, thanks to his significant experience in FICC and his knowledge of the UK markets.”
“The experience of Gil Mandelzis, our new non-executive director of Euronext US Inc., will be a major asset for our Group. As a successful serial entrepreneur in the field of capital markets platforms, Gil will further strengthen our positioning in the United States and our ambition to diversify the revenues of Euronext over the coming years,” Boujnah elaborates.
FastMatch Board of Directors
The departure of Lee Hodgkinson will also affect the board of FastMatch. His position there will be filled by Chief Information and Technology Officer, Alain Courbebaisse. He is appointed as Chairman of the board of directors of FastMatch Inc. and will be replacing Lee Hodgkinson on a permanent basis.
“Alain Courbebaisse, recently relocated in Paris after 8 years in Chicago and New York, will bring to the FastMatch board his long experience in the development of technology-driven solutions for global customers so as his expertise of the “prime business” field in North America,” Boujnah explained.
