MetaQuotes is well on its way to expand from FX to global securities markets with its MetaTrader5 platform (MT5), this time making headway on its home turf - Russia. The developer has announced today that Otkritie Broker has officially launched the MT5 on the Moscow Exchange (MOEX) Equity and Bond Market.

Gaies Chreis, COO of MetaQuotes Software, says: "We always strive to expand our cooperation with our clients. Launching the MetaTrader5 Trading Platform on MOEX Equity and Bond Market is an important event both for MetaQuotes and Otkritie Broker clients. A year ago, Otkritie Broker already granted its traders the opportunity to trade the foreign exchange market via MetaTrader5. I am sure traders will appreciate the rich functionality of our platform for trading securities as well."

Otkritie Broker has now made the platform available to over 60,000 of its clients. The brokerage operates a network of regional offices located in more than fifty Russian cities, and is part of a massive financial services group offering a range of banking, investment, pension plan and life insurance solutions.

Until recently, the platform functionality was unavailable for users performing trading operations on MOEX Equity and Bond Market. Now, this gap is eliminated, and we are glad to offer the MetaTrader5 platform to Otkritie Broker clients, so that they are able to trade Russian stocks. I am sure that many investors and traders will appreciate the convenience and functionality of the trading platform, and will also use it to significantly improve their trading results."
