In yet another round of financial collabs, Mastercard has announced yet more partnerships. Instacart and Peacock have joined forces with the credit card giant to provide unparalleled everyday value and convenience to discerning consumers.

Mastercard and Consumer Empowerment

Mastercard would have us believe that they’re more than just a credit card. They’re the key to a treasure trove of over $60 billion in meaningful rewards and benefits – we use the word “meaningful” a little loosely here. However, the general idea is indeed sound – costs for just about everything are soaring, and therefore any little perk goes a long way.

Instacart and Peacock: A New Level of Convenience

In that spirit, Mastercard is set to work with Instacart and Peacock. Imagine Instacart’s on-demand access to online shopping and grocery delivery at your fingertips, complemented by a streaming subscription with Peacock. You’ll have to pardon our earlier cynicism, the idea of lying on the couch watching TV while ordering our groceries has officially piqued our interest.

Shopping and TV – Peas in a Pod?

American consumers have fallen head over heels for online grocery shopping. The appetite is insatiable, and Mastercard is serving up a delectable dish. Instacart+ membership is now on the menu for eligible World Mastercard and World Elite Mastercard holders. A two-month free trial and a $10 monthly discount on eligible Instacart purchases await. The perks include no delivery fees, reduced service fees, and credits on eligible pickup orders.

And, just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, there's the streaming sensation – Peacock. With people overwhelmingly embracing digital streaming services, Mastercard is delivering value with cost-effective access to Peacock's premium streaming platform. This isn't just about watching; it's about diving into Priceless Experiences that span NBCUniversal's iconic shows and studios across the country.

Just think about it. You can be searching for the ice cream tub you’ll eat by yourself after crying your eyes out streaming that rom-com.

“Now more than ever, consumers are looking for benefits and savings that meet their everyday needs,” said Seema Chibber, EVP of Credit, North America, Mastercard. “By adding on-demand grocery delivery and streaming services to our existing suite of card benefits, we remain committed to providing cardholders a combination of benefits that provide meaningful value and enhance the lifestyles they have built.” Personally, we don’t feel that they’re pushing the ice cream and sofa angle hard enough, but there you go.

Mastercard’s endless partnership merry-go-round really is endless. But, you have to give it to them, some of them do offer up interesting perks.
