Exclusive: Skilling Appoints Pavel Spirin as Chief Commercial Officer
Pavel Spirin, CCO at Skilling

After spending nearly two years with the European broker Skilling, Pavel Spirin has been appointed to the role of Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) this month, Finance Magnates has learned.

Spirin has taken on the new leading role with the broker at the beginning of this week - Monday the 22nd of June 2020. As the CCO, Spirin’s main duties include the oversight of the company’s ongoing global expansion, covering global business development, marketing, partnerships and sales, he told Finance Magnates.

Spirin has been with Skilling since 2018, initially joining as the Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer. In this capacity, he was responsible for marketing function ownership, planning and management end to end, as well as initial product development and company public launch.

Speaking to Finance Magnates on his new role at the broker, Spirin said: “The role reflects natural evolution of Skilling as a global player in both FX & CFDs and wider Fintech industries. As we grow and build our capabilities across multiple markets, we recognised the need to consolidate all commercial arms into one global function to better meet our customer expectations, as well continuously innovate to bring fresh solutions to what today is a crowded and competitive space. Our short- to medium-term goal is growth, and I am confident this change will help accelerate this further.”

Pavel’s career history before Skilling

Spirin’s career, which spans more than 15 years, has seen him work across a range of marketing positions, as well as a range of brokers. In particular, he was the Global Head of Acquisition at CMC Markets in 2015, based in London. Prior to this he held the same position at Alpari (UK) Ltd for just under a year and a half.

Before he was at Skilling, Spirin was employed at Betway Group, where he was the Head of Digital Marketing for three and a half years. He has also consulted and held various senior marketing roles in several London-based start-ups.
