easyMarkets Inks Sponsorship Deal with Real Betis Balompié
easyMarkets

easyMarkets, a foreign exchange (forex) broker regulated by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC ) recently announced that it is now sponsoring the historic La Liga football club Real Betis Balompié.

Established in 1907, Real Betis Balompié is a Spanish football club based in Seville. The club, which is more commonly referred to as Real Betis or just Betis, plays in La Liga, after it won the Segunda División in the 2014–15 season.

easyMarkets has entered into a three-year exclusive sponsorship deal with the Spanish club. As part of the agreement, the logo of the broker will be displayed on the front of the player’s shirts. The new jersey was launched during the club’s first game of the current season.

“All of us here at easyMarkets believe that this partnership will support our long term goal for growth, progress and brand recognition and we are particularly honoured to have our brand aligned with that of Real Betis!” the company announced via a post on LinkedIn.

The cost of the sponsorship has not been disclosed, and easyMarkets has stated that it will reveal more details of the partnership soon. The broker believes that the deal is an “immense opportunity” for brand exposure and expects the deal to give the company increased recognition within the Spanish speaking world, as well as in Europe in general due to the popularity of football.

Brokers continue to capitalize on sports sponsorships

Sports sponsorships are a common way for brokers, and companies in general, to increase their brand exposure through advertising. In the realm of sports sponsorships football draws a lot of sponsorships from the FX and crypto industry, due to its large popularity in both Europe and Asia.

One trading provider who has shown a lot of interest in the sport is eToro. As Finance Magnates reported, the firm currently sponsors six football teams, making it the biggest Premier League club sponsor for the second year in a row.
